For more than four years it has been a privilege to contribute to our nature photography resource in a variety of ways. But at this point in my life I'd like more time and freedom to pursue my photography in greater depth as well as some other interests.
As Editor in Chief I have had the honor of working with people from first time authors to seasoned pros. For everyone who has contributed covers and articles since our August 2003 inception, thank you for allowing your photos and writing to touch the lives of so many other photographers.
My Executive Editor Juli Wilcox has worked in good part behind the scenes since the site began, but her efforts have been crucial in brainstorming, finding quality content, and editing with what I consider exceptional skill. In addition to our working relationship, her class, humor, and wit made it easy for me to find in her a very dear friend. My thanks to not only Juli but also E.J. Peiker, a fantastically talented photographer and our Senior Technical Editor, whose amazing depth of technical knowledge has been of great value in reviewing articles at a technical level.
With my time as an editor ending, as a site co-founder I could not be more thrilled with the new editorial team. Juli Wilcox's considerable expertise make her the perfect candidate for Editor in Chief. Our new Executive Editor is Royce Howland, someone who has long impressed me with his passion for photography, excellent writing skills and character.
In addition to a new editorial team the format will be changing shortly to a more adaptable "streaming format" to include not only articles but also news, hot forum topics, and more items of interest.
With this new team and format, I believe NatureScapes.Net will continue to grow as a high quality nature photography resource. I am relinquishing my duties to the best team imaginable.
As a site cofounder I will still be visiting the forums and enjoy all that NatureScapes.Net has to offer. Thank you for four wonderful years!
